Requirement

  • The Agriculturist should have undergone training in poultry farming from PAU, Ludhiana.
  • Procure day old chicks from reputed hatcheries approved by Animal Husbandry Department.
  • Feed should be of good quality.
  • Loan is disbursed in 3 installments. After proper utilisation of the first loan installment has been made, the next loan installment is disbursed.
  • Repayment period is 7 years, out of which 1 year is the grace period. Repayment of loan can be monthly/quarterly or half-yearly.
  • For emu farming, loan repayment shall be in 9 years, out of which 2 years is the grace period. Repayment of loan can be monthly/quarterly or half-yearly.
  • Project Report shall be prepared an Inspector of Poultry Development or a reputed Chartered Accountant.
  • For Emu farming, loan upto 35 lakh can be procured. But the project report /application should be approved from Animal Husbandry Department.
